Community Grace Enhances AV Capabilities with Phased Audio & Media Upgrades

Warsaw, IN – [07.31.2025] – Community Grace has completed a multi-phase audio-visual upgrade with Atom Integration to modernize their sanctuary systems and improve usability for staff and volunteers.

The first phase, completed in 2022, focused on a complete overhaul of the main PA system. Atom Integration installed JBL CBT1000 column arrays and a JBL ASB6128 dual 18” subwoofer to provide even, full-range coverage throughout the space. The CBT arrays are powered by a single Crown XTi6002 amplifier, while a Crown XTi4002 drives the subwoofer. A Lowell power sequencing system was included to streamline system power-up and shutdown. The amp rack was relocated for easier access, with new cabling, system tuning, and training to ensure optimal performance.

In 2023, Atom returned to upgrade Community Grace’s wireless microphone infrastructure. The new system centered on Shure SLXD dual-channel handheld and bodypack systems, integrated with an RF Venue antenna distribution system for reliable coverage across the room. All new cabling and rack integration were included, along with power control upgrades to keep the system easy to manage.

The most recent phase, completed in 2025, centered around control and media infrastructure. A new Behringer Wing digital console was installed, paired with Midas DL32 and DL16 stage boxes to maximize input flexibility. Atom provided multiple stage connectivity options, ultimately implementing a portable Whirlwind snake system with network patch panels to support flexible stage layouts and Dante audio transport without requiring permanent construction.

Video capabilities were also upgraded. The existing DeckLink Duo 2 capture card was integrated into a new Mac Mini system using a Sonnet PCIe chassis, enabling improved video playback and capture performance. The booth was relocated to the main floor, making it easier for volunteers to mix while hearing what the congregation hears—enhancing both accessibility and audio accuracy during services.

A dedicated Cisco-based network backbone was installed to support Dante audio transport and system-wide control. All components were integrated into a clean, centralized rack system, with labeled cabling and structured infrastructure to support long-term reliability and serviceability.

With these upgrades, Community Grace now has a modern, intuitive AV system designed for flexibility, volunteer operation, and future expansion—supporting their ongoing mission with clear sound and dependable media tools.
