Harvest Fellowship | Worship Center PA Upgrade

Fort Wayne, IN – [09.2026] – Atom Integration recently completed a major sound system upgrade at Harvest Fellowship featuring a new JBL VTX A8 line array system designed to deliver consistent coverage, improved intelligibility, and the output and clarity needed for contemporary worship.

The church’s previous sound system consisted of four Bose Panaray LT loudspeakers paired with two Bose MB24 subwoofers. While the system had served the church for many years, the point source design presented limitations in providing consistent coverage throughout the worship center. The goal of the new system was to create a more even listening experience across the seating area while improving clarity, headroom, and overall system performance.

To accomplish this, Atom Integration designed a new system using JBL Venue Synthesis to model coverage specifically for the room. The resulting design features eight JBL VTX A8 line array loudspeakers per side, providing significantly greater control over coverage and allowing the system to be optimized for the geometry of the worship center. Four JBL VTX B28 subwoofers provide low-frequency support, while two JBL VTX F12 loudspeakers serve as outfills to extend consistent coverage into the outer seating areas.

While weekly worship was the primary focus of the design, Harvest Fellowship also wanted a system capable of supporting occasional HeBrews Fort Wayne concerts and other live events. The VTX A8 provided the additional headroom and tour-grade performance needed for these events while still being well suited for the church’s regular services.

The system is powered by Crown I-Tech amplification, with I-Tech 4|3500HD amplifiers powering the VTX A8 arrays and F12 outfills and an I-Tech 12000HD amplifier powering the four B28 subwoofers. The A8 arrays are divided into multiple amplifier zones, providing additional control for system optimization and coverage. The project also included the structural coordination, rigging, signal distribution, and supporting infrastructure required to integrate the new flown system into the existing facility.

Once installation was complete, Atom Integration tuned and commissioned the system using Rational Acoustics SMAART, allowing the real-world performance to be measured and optimized against the original design goals established in JBL Venue Synthesis.

The end result is a more consistent listening experience throughout Harvest Fellowship’s worship center, with improved clarity, increased headroom, extended low-frequency performance, and more even coverage throughout the room. The new system provides a strong foundation for weekly worship while giving Harvest Fellowship the flexibility and performance needed to support larger live events when needed.
